The University of Arusha invited Havilah to participate in a Sports Day. Events included running races, tug-o-war, soccer, and a funny game where one tries to eat a cookie tied to a string while holding your hands behind your back. The Havilah children all wore their neon green shirts from the Havilah Olympics earlier this year (making them easy to spot in the photos below).
On the left, Yasini tries to catch a cookie. The game is played by first hanging a bunch of cookies from string. Then, the participants have to walk past the hanging cookies and try to catch one in their mouths without using their hands. You can't stop walking as you attempt to get the cookie. |
